about camden watts

self-port

I am a fun-loving girl who likes working with people to help solve problems. What I do never ceases to keep me interested, but when not working you will find me globe-hopping, running with my pitt/lab mix Louie, improvising at ComedyWorx or day dreaming about my next hair brained scheme.

My History
Born in Wilmington, and raised in Eastern N.C. by parents who shared a passion for art, entrepreneurship, innovation, history, nature and the freedom to dream big, it is no wonder that I hold visual communications in high regard.

Growing up in "Little" Washington, N.C., taught me so much. Almsot every day I watched the sun set over the Pamlico River. In this hometown, I fretted over my first poetry assignment, encountered my first photography project in seventh grade, and filmed my first improvised soap operas. In high school I learned the crtiical basics for reporting with integrity, photographing news and editing an award-winning literary magazine called Opus.

When I left Washington for Raleigh, N.C., to attend Meredith College, my visual communications education continued. I earned a bachelor of arts degree with a concentration in design and photography and a minor in professional communications. I learned more about integrating each of these tools, and strategically applying them to reach identified goals.

Since graduation, I have worked with both large and small businesses in the area, and currently serve as a communications coordinator for Raleigh-based nonprofit Advanced Energy.

When I am not working, you are likely to find me writing, camped out at local comedy clubs like ComedyWorx, or day dreaming of outdoor fun.
