Alice Fest 2016

The 5th annual Alice Fest took place in Durham, N.C., yesterday. The festival is named for Alice Guy Blaché, a pioneer in the film industry. Alice Fest is held each March in honor of Women’s History Month. Brewconomy screening on March 24th

Brewconomy, an independent feature-length documentary about the North Carolina craft beer industry, is screening on Thursday, March 24th. The screening will be held at The Schiele Museum of Natural History in Gastonia, N.C., starting at 7:00 pm, during the Science After Hours program. Brewers from Ole Dallas Brewery will be on site. Brewconomy screening on Valentine’s Day

The 2016 Meredith College Documentary Film Festival – originally scheduled for January 24th – got snowed out last month. Most of the area was covered in snow and ice, and thousands of people were without power. The festival has thankfully been rescheduled for Sunday, February 14, 2016.   We’ve got another screening on the books! The documentary film about North Carolina craft beer will screen at the Meredith College Documentary Film Festival.
