Whew! It’s Friday. Which means we made it through Week 1 of principal photography on OH CRAPPY DAY! The feature-length film is coming together well, despite a few hiccups in our first week.

Ned Phillips, Jordan Estes, Jess Barbour, and Jon Lance Bacon on the set of OH CRAPPY DAY in Raleigh, N.C., this week.

Hiccups? Yup. Making movies is always an adventure, no matter the size of your budget or the years of experience you have – and that’s part of the reason I find it so attractive.

You can make the best plans! But the universe will throw a curve ball on a regular basis. You have to pivot all the time.

Every time I hear or use the word, I think of this scene from Friends.

On this film, I’m serving as first assistant director (1st A.D.). Being 1st AD has been a lot of fun and a nice change of pace. Since I usually write, produce, and direct my own films being 1st AD feels like a lot less responsibility – oddly enough – but it’s also a lot of what I love about filmmaking.

Dude, I could go on and on about what I love about filmmaking. But I suppose that’s another post for another day. Right now, we’re resting up and getting ready for our next week of production!

B-School Registration Closes Today (3/1/19)

B-School registration is closing today (Friday, March 3rd)!

If you’re interested in hearing more about it or have questions about what it’s like to go through B-School, hit me up. Use the comments to ask questions. I’d love to talk about it with you.

Yes, I love talking about B-School and am a proud affiliate! It has helped me SO MUCH as a filmmaker, creative, and entrepreneur. I highly recommend the program if you’re eager to learn how to take your career to the next level, live the life of your dreams, and make the world a better place in the process. And, yes, of course get paid to do the work you love doing.

The course is not a weird internet scheme or silver bullet solution. You definitely have to show up and do the work. But it’s totally worthwhile.

Register for B-School today. Don’t miss your chance! The next opportunity to register won’t come around until 2020. Come join a worldwide group of modern entrepreneurs. It’s a great place to be; I highly recommend it.
