So, great news. Now I can finally share that I’m helping some friends shoot their feature-length film in Raleigh, N.C., over the next few weeks. I’m so honored and grateful for the opportunity! Alice Fest returns to Durham, N.C., on Sunday, March 10, 2019! What is Alice Fest? Alice Fest is a one-day film festival. The tagline is “Films by women. For everyone.” It is typically held in March in honor of Women’s History Month in the Full Frame Theater in Durham, N.C., in association with the Center for Documentary Studies at Duke University. Alice Fest is free and open to the public.
My newest film, The Innocent AK, is screening at the 2018 Longleaf Film Festival! The festival is at the N.C. Museum of History in downtown Raleigh, N.C., on Saturday, May 12th. The Innocent AK is screening in Film Block D, in Daniels Auditorium, at 5:00 PM. The festival is free to attend. On Saturday, May 12th, I’ll also be part of a panel discussion on women in film. No tickets are required
The fifth annual Meredith College Documentary Film Festival will be held on campus in Raleigh, N.C., on Sunday, January 28th, 2017, starting at 2:00 PM. The festival was born from the screening of my very first film, Abandoned Allies, many years ago. Since then, I’ve been invited to be the moderator during the festival. It’s such an honor!
